Got these pics of one of the local barn owls in my area, this bird almost certainly breeds in a nest box inside a barn a few hundred yards away from were this photo was taken.
there was a heavy snowfall in this area a few weeks ago which stayed on the ground for over a week so it was good to see an owl out and about

A barn owl is an impressive sight daytime, flying silently with his big wings and watching for a prey ... like a breath of another entirely different world. I never seen it, but surely hope, I would! Thanks for the great photos, robbo!

The male brought prey, the female placed it "in the pantry, " and settled down to incubate again. The male stayed on the balcony. Both seemed to listen to each other.

At the night there was a peep. For a while ago yet no hatching. Mom listens and frequently change position.
