Mom was watching the eggs and rolled them... maybe she also whispered Good Night, Little ones!



Night has arrived at Fairytale forest.

It has been very tough time hear during last days. Mom wet and exhausted, maybe also hungry ( nobody seen food deliveres ...). Yesterday she looked little better, also male seen visited. Just now it's rainig again...

Today evening male brought something to eat(Look at a video of Saru at Finnish page!). Metra brought some grass the nest. Later evening she seemed to be very tired again.

About 2 weeks since the last message here. (Please look also our Finnish pages of Metra and Macho.)

Has been better weather conditions after that, Metra looks being more well. Haven't though seen Macho recently, and don't know, how is with food deliveries.

Today something disturbed Metra, she screamed and flew out the nest.. was back maybe in 10 minutes.

This evening... looks like a hatching process is running. Metra listened carefully and often both eggs.


Lesser Spotted Eagle incubates eggs 38-41 days.

First egg laid on 27 April 2011 ; hatching this week, time will soon be? - if there is a hole in the egg, as I see.

Second egg laid on First May 2011 ; hatching early next week?

... guessing.. we know it soon.

Metra will discuss lunch with Macho. She examines the eggs carefully.

Today might be 41'st incubation day to the first egg, so anytime now...



Is there something to see in last pic? Can't figure it out... have to waite tomorrow.

In the first pic she maybe was listening the strange noise nearby.

At 10.20, there were yet two eggs.. Metra brought something green on and next to eggs... earlier today think Macho brought food to nest.

.. it's warm also here, Metra broods and calls Macho...
